Mrs. Mary Ruffing Dies At Age Of 79
Mrs. Mary Ruffing, 79, wife of Charles Ruffing and lifelong local resident, died at her home 110 North Weller street, at 2:30 p.m. Monday. She was born January, 6, 1862, and had lived all her life in Ottumwa. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Ann Ruffing, at home and one sister, Mrs. Martin O'Hara, Sr. of Ottumwa. A son Edward preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Ruffing home and at 9 o'clock at St. Patrick's church where a requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rev. T.C. Donohoe. Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery. Members of St. Patrick's parish will gather at the Ruffing home tonight to recite the Rosary, the body having been removed there from the Vaughan funeral chapel late this afternoon.
