Mrs. Lillian Lucy Parsons, formerly of Ottumwa, died in a Spencer Iowa hospital Thursday at 1:20 a.m. Mrs. Parsons was the daughter of Josiah and Rachel Countryman and was born near Batavia Septemeber 17, 1875. She married Cornelius K. Parsons December 24, 1898. He preceded her in death in 1923. Surviving are three sons, John, Robert and Forest of Ottumwa, a daughter Mrs. Mildred Campbell of Ayrshire, 13 grandchildren and two brothers, John Countryman of Selma and Ernest of Libertyville; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Lewis of Conrad Montana, Mrs. Bertha Stewart of Washington D.C. and Mrs. Grace Jemison of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 at the East End Presbyterian church with the Rev. George T. Hubbard in charge. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. The casket will be taken from Johnson's funeral chapel to the church at 12:15 p.m. Sunday and will be closed at the beginning of the services. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The body arrived at 11:40 a.m. from Spencer.
