JAMES W. RAMSEY
James W. Ramsey, 52, of 217 North Hancock street, died at 5 a.m. today.

He was the son of Jesse and Abigail Ramsey and was born in Kellerton, August 7, 1883. He had lived in Ottumwa for the last thirteen years and was a plumber.

Surviving are his wife, Lena; and adopted daughter Betty, at home; his mother, Mrs. Abigail Ramsey Curry, of Ottumwa; one sister, Mrs. C. D. Caldwell, of Milan, Mo; one brother, W. D. Ramsey of Ottumwa; one half-sister, Mrs. Glen Stoher of Ottumwa; and three half-brothers, Bert Curry of Kellerton, and Roy and Clifford of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson’s funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. V. R. Willey. Burial will be made in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
