Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Monday, March 25, 1918:

Mrs. Laura Etta Cramblit Strader died Saturday afternoon, March 23, at 5:15 o’clock. She was 49 years of age and was born October 6 on a farm in Polk township. Her parents preceded her in death several years ago.

She was united in marriage to John W. Strader January 10, 1885, and is survived by him, two children, Mrs. W.E. Emerson and George E. Strader, both of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie C. Kent, 203 Church street, Mrs. Ratie Myers of Lawrence, Kas., and Mrs. Maude Lindhof of Des Moines; four brothers, Frank Cramblit of Ottumwa, George, William and Thomas Cramblit of Des Moines, and one grandchild.

The funeral will be private and friends desiring to view the remains may do so Tuesday forenoon at the residence, 532 Church street. Interment will take place in Shaul cemetery Tuesday at 3 p.m., Rev. Isaac Williams officiating.
