Mrs. Samuel Styre

Mrs. Lila Ann Styre, 86, of 155 N. Moore, died Monday at 11 a.m. at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield following a long illness.

The daughter of John and Mary Jane Reese Hendra, she was born in Lucas County on May 27, 1880, and had resided in Ottumwa the past 75 years. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Her marriage to Samuel S. Styre took place in Ottumwa July 14, 1902. He survives. She also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Marie Larson and Mrs. Dorothy Lundeen of Ottumwa; one granddaughter, Mrs. Ardena Comesano of Ottumwa; two grandsons, John and Stephen Lancey of Ottumwa; and five great-grandchildren. One son, John A. preceded in her death on April 19, 1943.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William I. Williams of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Howard Taylor, Robert Lames, Paul Matthew, Lyle Hall, L.O. VanDyke and Lee Reynolds.
