Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Friday, February 8, 1920:

Mrs. Mary E. Barrows, aged 76 years, died Thursday morning at 11:45 o’clock at her home, 332 Richmond avenue. She is survived by six children: F.E. Berky [sic-should be Berkey] of Ottumwa, W.J. Barrows, of St. Louis, Mo., Thomas L. Barrows, of Mt. Moriah, Mo., Mrs. Ester [sic-should be Esther] Webb, of San Diego, Cal., Whitney D. Barrows, of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Mary E. Chambers of Bethany, Mo. The funeral arrangements will be made later.

(Note: Mary is buried in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.)
