HUGH BROWN
IS SUMMONED

Hugh Brown, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of Ottumwa passed away at 1:40 o'clock this afternoon at his home, 205 East Pennsylvania avenue at the age of 86 years.

He is survived by seven children, three sons and four daughters. His sons are W. A. C. Brown, George D. and S. H. Brown of Ottumwa. His daughters are Mrs. E. M. B. Scott and Miss Nellie Hallett of Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. McCarthy of Fort Smith, Ark.

The funeral services will be announced later.

Mr. Brown has resided in Ottumwa for the last half century. He leaves hosts of friends who join with the family in mourning their loss.

Hugh Brown Obsequies.

Private funeral services over the remains of the late Hugh Brown will be held Saturday morning, May 11 at 10 o'clock from the family residence, 205 East Pennsylvania avenue. Rev. L. H. Otto, pastor of the First Christian church will have charge of the services. Interment will be made in the Ottumwa cemetery, the three sons, W. A. C., George D. and S. H. Brown and three of the grandsons will act as pallbearers.
