MRS. MAE VAN DE GOOR

Mae Van De Goor, daughter of Albert and Agnes Hasselman, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, May 1, 1874, and died at the Wapello County Hospital, Ottumwa, August 7, 1956, at the age of 82. She spent most of her life in Sully and Pella, moving to Ottumwa from Pella 32 years ago.

On October 20, 1897, she was united in marriage to Tunis Van De Goor. To this union were born five children, three of whom survive: Mrs. Helen Rodene of Seattle, Wash., Margaret Pullen of Knoxville, and George Van De Goor of Des Moines. Surviving also are three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her husband, son Antone, and daughter Susie preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Methodist church since early years of her life.

Funeral services were conducted from the Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, August 10, and burial was at the Shaul Cemetery.
