Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” November 13, 1936:

James M. Harris, 76, until two years ago an Ottumwan, died at the home of his son, Fred Harris, in Minneapolis, Minn., Thursday noon. Mr. Harris formerly lived at 509 Wabash avenue. He had lived there twenty years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Orme of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Frank Collins of Racine, Wis., and two sons, Fred of Minneapolis and Charles of San Francisco, Calif. He as preceded in death by his wife, Diana, in 1931.

The body will arrive here Saturday morning. It will be taken to the Johnson funeral chapel where services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles M. Leaming. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery.
