Marjory Ellen Fitzgerald

Marjory Ellen Fitzgerald, 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dave Albert officiating. Burial will follow in Ottumwa Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Lockridge, the daughter of Clarence William and Ellen Sophrenia Johnson Boos. She married Hobart Fitzgerald Jr. Aug. 6, 1945, in Ottumwa. He died July 19, 2000.

She graduated from Farson High School. She lived her entire life in the Birmingham, Ottumwa and Fairfield area.

She was a homemaker and sold Avon.

She belonged to American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and loved to cross stitch.

She attended Agency Methodist Church.

Survivors include her four children, Jerry Alan and spouse Linda of Fairfield, William Hobart and spouse Joyce of Ottumwa, Donald Robert and spouse Joan of Birmingham and John Edward Fitzgerald of Fairfield; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Merle Wesley Boos of Milwaukee, Wis.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Ronald Eugene; one brother, Roger Boos; and one infant sister.
