Norman Eugene Nupp, age 62 of Albia, died Sunday, October 6, 2013, under the care of Monroe County Hospice at Monroe County Hospital in Albia.

Norman was born April 26, 1951, to Robert James and Margaret Mae (Wilcoxson) Nupp in Keokuk. He was a very hard worker and worked various jobs including in a coal mine, at Marvin Griffin's saw mill, on an oil rig in Oklahoma, for farmers in the area, and for Terrible's Lakeside Casino in Osceola for 12 years.

Norman enjoyed playing pool, and being around his family and friends.

Norman is survived by two sisters, Ethel Williams and Deborah Nelson, both of Albia; two brothers, Joe (Tina) Nupp of Albia and Kenneth (Tycene) Nupp of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Williams and Betty Keith; and two brothers, Perry Nupp and Donald Nupp.

As was Norman's wishes, his body has been cremated and a memorial service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Tharp Funeral Home in Albia; with Pastor Richard Grimes officiating. No burial or visitation is planned.
