Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” June 13, 1923:

JOSEPH FLACTIFF

Joseph Flactiff, age 74 years, died this morning at 3 o’clock at his home, 326 South Benton street. He has mined coal in this vicinity for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa; a daughter, Mrs. Michael Zwer of Ottumwa; and sons Joseph, Harry and Lester of Ottumwa, Mitchell of Des Moines, Duff of Arkansas and Lewis of Des Moines.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

The Funeral of Joseph Flactiff, who died yesterday morning at his home, 326 South Benton street, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock, at the residence. A.D. McClure of the Pentecost church, will have charge and burial will be made in Shaul cemetery.
