MRS. EVA C. OVERTURF.
Mrs. Eva Chance Overturf, 29
years old, wife of J. F. Overturf,
died at the home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Chance, Ottum-
wa route 6, Sunday morning at 3
o'clock. She is survived by her
husband, one son, Joseph Leroy;
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. D.
Chance, Ottumwa route 6; one sis-
ter, Lois Chance; two brothers, I.
Van Chance and Omerl Chance, all
at home on route 6, and her grand-
mother, Mrs. Caroline Weatherby;
Ottumwa route 6. Mrs. Overturf
was a member of the True Blue
class of the Finley Avenue Baptist
church. Funeral services were
held this afternoon at 2 o'clock
from the Johnson funeral chapel
and at 2:30 from the Finley Ave-
nue Baptist church, conducted by
the Rev. Harold Powers, assisted
by the Rev. Mr. Donahue. Burial
was to be made in the Shaul ceme-
tery. The pallbearers were Mrs.
George Miers, Mrs. H. E. Johnson,
Mrs. C. W. Williamson, Mrs. J. A.
Haynes, Mrs. Frank Beall and Mrs.
Guy Blue.
