Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” April 5, 1916:

John Moore Davis of Branson, Mo., died at his home Sunday following an illness of two months and his remains will be brought to Ottumwa for burial arriving here this evening at 7:10 o’clock on the Wabash, accompanied by his wife.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence of T.F. Norfolk, a brother of Mrs. Davis. The local Masonic order will have charge of the funeral. Interment will take place in Ottumwa cemetery.

Funeral Service Notice From “Ottumwa Courier,” April 6, 1916:

Funeral Services of John Moore Davis of Branson, Mo., who died at his home Sunday after an illness of two months were held this afternoon from the residence of T.F. Norfolk, a brother of Mrs. Davis, 223 West Fifth street. The local Masonic order had charge of the funeral. Interment was made in the Ottumwa cemetery. Rev. E.W. Faris Holler officiated.
