William C. Rahrer, 935 North Elm Street, passed away at the Ottumwa hospital Saturday afternoon at 2:30 O'clock from injuries received from a fall at the John Morrell and Co. packing plant in the morning at the age of 53. The deceased is survived by his widow.

The funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Daggett chapel and at 2 o'clock from East End Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. C.A. Montanus. Interment took place in Ottumwa cemetery. The pallbearers were his fellow workmen.
