MISS NETTIE SPONSLER

BLAKESBURG.–Miss Nettie L. Sponsler, 76, died at 3:15 a.m. today in the Van Dyke nursing home in Ottumwa after a long illness.

Surviving are an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ruby Fletcher of near Ottumwa; a brother, Merritt Sponsler of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a niece and two nephews. A brother, Dewitt Sponsler, died in 1949. A half sister and a half brother also preceded her in death.

The body is at the Knedler funeral home in Blakesburg, where the Rev. Dwight Walker of Oskaloosa will conduct the service Monday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery at Ottumwa.
