Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” July 1, 1930:

PEARL BROWN MONTGOMERY

Mrs. Pearl Brown Montgomery, former Ottumwan, died a t the city hospital in East St. Louis, Ill., Saturday night at 10 o’clock. She was 26 years old and is survived by her mother, Bertha Brown, of East St. Louis; her grandfather, R.W. Huff of Corydon; two uncles, Robert G. Huff of Ottumwa and Warren R. Huff of San Bernardino, Calif.; two aunts, Mrs. Emma Fitzgerald of Ottumwa and Mrs. Maude Tate of Ft. Madison. The body will arrive Wednesday morning at 7 o’clock from East St. Louis. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the home of her uncle, Robert G. Huff, 1515 Chester avenue, the services being conducted by the Rev. Luther W. Childs, pastor of the Finley Avenue Baptist church. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery.
