Obituary From “Ottumwa Tri-Weekly Courier,” January 18, 1918:

James Buchanan Dickerson, aged 60, died Tuesday at 1:40 p.m. at his home at 1040 West Sherman street. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Sage and Mrs. Mary Knight, two brothers, W.H. Dickerson and Alexander Dickerson, all of this city, and also by his father, J.C. Dickerson of Eldorado Springs, Mo.

The funeral was held from the residence today at 2 p.m. and interment took place in Shaul cemetery.
