James Allen Ware.
Jas. Allen Ware was born In Wapel-
lo county, Iowa February 24, 1849 and
died at his home in Bear Creek Thurs-
day morning November 4, 1910, aged 61
years, 8 months and 10 days. He was
married to Margaret E. Cooper, thirty-
three years ago the 20th of this month.
To this union nine children were born.
Two of them are dead. The living chil-
dren are Frances, John, Mrs. Mary
Leonard, of Ottumwa, Margaret Ellen,
Walter, Edward and Estella of Bear
Creek.
Mr. Ware had made his home in Ot-
tumwa for some years, having been a
resident of Bear Creek for only about
two months. He leaves a wife and
seven children, three sisters, Mrs.
Hannah Johnson, Mrs. Elizabeth
Stearns, and Mrs. Nancy Barton, all of
Ottumwa, one brother Michael Ware of
Floris and many friends to mourn their
loss. The local union of organized mine
workers of which he was a member at-
tended the last sad rites in a body and
presented a beautiful floral design as a
token of the esteem in which he was
held. Funeral services were conducted
from the residence Saturday Novem-
ber 5th at 10 a. m. S. Isaac Elder, of
the Davis Street Christian church of-
ficiated. Interment In the Brooks cem-
etery.—Contributed.
