Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Saturday, January 16, 1926:

Israel Snook, 72 years old, died Friday evening at 6:30 o’clock at his home on Quincy avenue.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary A. Snook and the following children: Annual, Moline, Ill.; Charles, Aubrey D., Mrs. Rosebud Coffin and Israel M., all of Ottumwa; Thomas of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mrs. Edna Niemeyer of Chicago. Two children preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the residence, in charge of the Rev. A.A. Heath. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery.
