Albert "Al" J. Rasmussen, 72, Onawa, died Thursday at his home of an apparent heart attack. Services will be at 10 am Monday in Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. Quentin Quanbeck will officiate. Burial will be in Kennebec cemetery in Castana under the direction of the Pearson Funeral Home, with masonic graveside services by the Vesper Lodge 223 AF&AM. Mr. Rasmussen was born Aug. 25, 1908 in Kadoka, S.D. He attended schools in Sioux City. He married Lottie A. Younkin in 1931. (she is buried at SIOC CEMETERY in Wapello county Iowa at ELDON) He moved to Onawa in 1946. He was employed with the Iowa State Conservation Commission 27 years and was conservation officer for the Lewis and Clark State Park, Blue Lake, 25 years. He married Florence McPerson in 1955. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, twice Past Master of Vesper Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Sioux City and was current worthy patron of Queen Esther Chapter OES 222 of Onawa. Survivers include the widow; one son, Albert W. of Council Bluffs; three step0daughters, Mrs. Donald (Joyce) Persinger of Ponca, Neb., Jean Chambertain of Sioux City and Mrs. Roger (Linda) Felkey of Broomfield, Colo., one siste,r Mrs. Anna Bishop of Sioux City and 12 grandchildren.
