AGED MAN GONE TO HIS REWARD
JOSEPH WEINEY ANSWERS FINAL SUMMONS AFTER AN EXTENDED ILLNESS.
Death claimed Joseph Weiney, 217 North Weller street, this morning shortly after' 2 o'clock, after an illness
with Brights disease continuing for some time past. Mr. Weiney was 78 years old and was a member of a family remarkable for longevity of life. Surviving him are his wife and two daughters, three brothers and one sister. The latter range in age from 75 years to 85. The funeral services will be held at the family residence at 6 o'clock Sunday evening conducted by Rev. E. J. Shook, pastor of the Willard Street M, E. church. The remains will be removed to Drakeville Monday morning on the Rock Island and interment will be made in the Drakeville cemetery.
Mr. Weiney had lived in Bloomfield and vicinity for fifty years, and had been a resident of South. Ottumwa for six years. He was a carpenter by occupation. The survivors are his wife and two daughters, Miss Ella Weiney of Ottumwa and Mrs. John Burgess of Bloomfield. Three brothers, John Weiney, age 75 of Bloomfield, George Weiney, age 72 of Milton and Henry Weiney age 82 of Columbus, Ohio and one sister Mrs. Sarah Lane, age 85 an indulgent father, and his loss will be mourned by a host of friends.
Funeral services over the remains of Joseph Weiney, whose death occurred Saturday morning at his home, 217 North Weller Street, were held Sunday evening at»6 o'clock from the family residence by Rev. E. J. Shook, pastor of the Willard Street M. E. church. The remains were removed to Drakeville this morning over the Rock Island where interment was made in the Drakeville cemetery.
