Ottumwa Courier June 23, 1936

Mrs. Sarah E.Taylor, 81, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Etta Hendricks, Brookville, Missouri at midnight. Wednesday. Mrs. Taylor was a former Ottumwan. She was the daughter of Arshal H. and Rebecca McKinney and was born in Kentucky, April 25, 1855. She lived in Ottumwa for 33 years prior to moving to Brookville six years ago. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Etta Hendricks of Brookville, Missouri; two sons, Frank and Artemas Taylor of Ottumwa; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Taylor at Ottumwa in 1925. The body is being brought to Ottumwa and taken to the Johnson funeral Chapel awaiting completion of arrangements.
Taylor Services
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah E. Taylor who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Etta Hendricks, Brookville, Missouri, Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 2 PM at Johnson's funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Fred Smith, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial be made in the Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Taylor, Clayton Taylor, Francis Taylor, Daniel Hendricks, Don Myers and Gerald McGee.
