Joseph H. Jordan, 55, of 625 N. Ash St. died suddenly at his home at 8 AM today. He died of a heart attack in the dining room of his home, Coroner John Drake said. Dr. A. W. Fox and Mrs. Fox of Hannibal, Missouri visitors in the Jordan home, heard Mr. Jordan fall and found the body. Mrs. Jordan was not at home. During the last 25 years he'd been employee of John Morrell & Co. He was a member of the African Methodist Episcopal church and of the Faithful Few society. He was born December 1, 1881, the son of John and Kitty Jordan and had lived here all of his life. Surviving is his wife, Anna. The body will remain at the Lester Jay funeral home pending arrangements.
