CHARLES E. KEEN

Charles E. Keen, 21, of 746 W. Mechanic died at 12:45 today at Ottumwa Hospital. He had been ill with muscular distrophy since the age of five.

He was the son of Clarence R. and Esther Edler Keen and was born in Ottumwa July 4, 1942. He had been a resident of the community all of his life. He was a member of the Benton Street Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are his parents: one brother, Lester L. Keen at home; one sister, Patricia J. Keen at home; and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edler of Fairfield.

The service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Benton Street Assembly of God Church in charge of the Rev. Clifford E. Gannon. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.

The casket will remain at the Johnson Funeral Chapel until 11 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to the church.
