William H. Brawley, 78, died at his home, 205 W. Maple Ave., Wednesday at 7 PM. He had been a resident of Iowa for 67 years. Mr. Brawley was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, March 1, 1858. He came to Iowa March 17, 1869 and was married to Clara Effie Shank December 27, 1881. She preceded him in death in 1930. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. Two nieces, Mrs. Ray W. Campbell of Ottumwa and Mrs. Fred L. Bissell, South Pasadena, California, survived. Funeral services will be held at the Lester Jay funeral home at 3:30 PM Friday conducted by the Rev. Harold Lancaster, D. D. Burial be made in the Ottumwa cemetery.
