William Hartley, 69, died at his home north the city Wednesday at 5 PM. He was the son of Almond and Mary Hartley and was born in Wapello County, June 29, 1866. He had lived here all his life. Surviving are his wife, Patty; two brothers, Elmer Hartley and Charles Hartley both of Ottumwa, and one sister, Mrs. Viola McNerney of Knoxville. Friends may call at Johnson's funeral Chapel pending completion of funeral arrangements.
