Miss Lewis Found Dead In Her Home
Miss Ida Ella Lewis, 79, lifelong resident of Ottumwa, was found dead this morning at her home, 1318 Grant St. The body was on the floor near the stove and it was believed that she died while attempting to fix the fire during the night. Doctors said she has not been ill. The body of Miss Lewis, who lived alone, was found by Mrs. A. M. Erth. She survived by one brother, Otis Lewis of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday at the Reese funeral parlors conducted by the Rev. Robert Swick.
