Mrs. Mary McCreath
Mrs. Mary Veronica Brown McCreath, 69, died at 11 PM Friday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Martin, 716 N. Court St. She was born in Dumbarton, Scotland, January 20, 1867. When she was 22 years of age she came to the United States, living in Kansas City, Missouri. She was married two years later in Lincoln, Nebraska. Up until about two years ago, when she moved to the Martin home here, she lived in Omaha, Nebraska. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth McIntosh, Dumbarton Scotland, and six daughters, Mrs. Rachel Flagg of Santa Paula, California, Mrs. Helen Nolan of Omaha, Mrs. Mae Ferren of Ottumwa, Miss Melitia McCreath and Mrs. Jeanette Martin, both at the Martin home here, and Mrs. E. V. Propst, Omaha. Mrs. Flagg, Mrs. Nolan and Mrs. Propst are all in Ottumwa for the funeral services. Funeral services will be held 9 AM Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Right Rev. Msgr. J. M. Walsh, V. F. will celebrate the mass. Burial be made in Calvary cemetery.
