Mrs. Gilbert Anderson 24 of 1322 West Second Street died at the Ottumwa hospital at 9:58 p.m. Tuesday after a brief illness. She was the former June Callas daughter of George and Ethel Callas, born in Ottumwa April 27, 1921. She had lived all her life here. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Beverly Jean, her parents, four brothers, John, Woodrow, Bill and Larry all of Ottumwa, two sisters Minnie Callas and Mrs. Evelyn Ficken of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Her husband returned from service in the Army five weeks ago. Funeral services will be held from Johnson’s funeral chapel Friday at 3 p.m. in charge of the Rev. E.M. Boyer of the East End Christian church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. The body will be taken to the home of her parents, 722 South Walnut street, Thursday at 5 p.m. and the will be returned to the chapel Friday morning.
