Delazon A. Crandall 89, who resided on Herman Avenue, Ottumwa route 1, died at the Rest Haven home 820 Pershing Avenue, at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday. A resident of Ottumwa for the past 20 years he was the son of Charles and Elizabeth Crandall and was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, June 1, 1856. Surviving are four sons, Roy Crandall, Elwood, Kansas; Ray Crandall, Iowa City; Lester Crandall, Ottumwa, and Vance Crandall, Oneida Illinois, and two daughters, Mrs. Opal Simpson, San Francisco California; and Mrs. Helen Smith, San Fernando, California. One sister, Mrs. Ollie Liming, Bentonsport, Iowa also survives. His wife Lulu preceded him in death in 1935. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be made in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
