OTTUMWA — Charles L. “Chuck” Eaton, 65, of 905 W. Williams St., died at 6:42 a.m. April 7, 2011, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
He was born June 16, 1945, in Ottumwa to Edward E. and Janet Teague Eaton. He married Alice M. Bennett March 27, 1965.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1963, he worked as a carpenter.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Carpenter Union Local #767.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; two daughters, Debra (Rich) Davis of Oskaloosa and Patricia (Tim) Bone of Des Moines; a son, Charles E. (Missy) Eaton of Des Moines; six grandchildren, Scot E McIntosh, Tara McIntosh, Paige McIntosh, Olivia Eaton, Tim Bone Jr. and Kyle Bone; a sister, Sarah (Marvin Sr.) Crady of Bloomfield; and good friends, Pam and Ken Spillman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Eaton and a sister, Mary Overturf.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice, 927 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Ottumwa, Iowa 52501 or to the family.
