Dr. Worley Dies Here Early Today
Dr. Charle L. Worley 52, well known Physician died at St. Joseph Hospital at 8:50 a.m. today following a heart attack.
Dr. Worley suffered an attack about 5 a.m. at his home' 231 Fillmore St. He was taken to the hospital but failed to rally.
The physicial was born Nov. 17, 1895 at Emmetsburg, Iowa. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.G. Worley who now live in Hazelton. After attending High School at Independence; he entered the University of Iowa. He graduated in medicine in 1933.
He was married to Miss Ione Cooney Sep. 5, 1928. He began the practice of medicine at Riverside, Iowa in 1934 and moved to Ottumwa in 1938.
His wife survives as do a daughter Mary Sue at home and a son Charles E. attending school in St. Louis, MO. Also surviving are two sisters; Mrs. Marie Hoffman of Hazelton and Mrs. Frances Lanz of Iowa and two brothers; John Worley of Chicago and Edmund of Cleveland.
He was a veteran of both WW 1 and WW 11. He was seperated from the service because of his heart condition in 1943. On his return from the service; he returned to school to study Demotology.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
