Amanda Compton Wood, born 1831- Mrs. Amanda Woods, widow of John T. Woods, died at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. Harrison, on West Finley avenue. She was born June 23, 1831, and is survived by the following children; Mrs. A.J. Simmons of Mahaska, Kansas, Calvin Woods of Rock Island, Illinois, Albert, and O.G. of Ottumwa, Mrs. Harrison of this city and Reece of Drakesville, Mrs. Woods passed away March 2, 1915.
The funeral will be at 10 o'clock tomorrow at the Harrison home with Reverend W. E. Thompson of Moore Street Brethren church in charge. Burial will be in Ormanville cemetery. Granddaughters will act as pallbearers.
