AGENCY — Shirley M. Eakins, of Agency, died at 8 a.m. June 14, 2009, at her home.She was born in Ottumwa and was the daughter of Raleigh and Marguriete Collins Annis.She was a retiree of John Deere Ottumwa Works.Surviving are two sons, Bob (Carol) Eakins of Bourbonnias, Ill., Ed (Mary) Eakins of Las Vegas, Nev.; three daughters, Vicki (Gary) Hawke of Warrenton, Mo., Jo Ellen Grandpre of Manteno, Ill., Shannon (Jerry) Eakins Dovico of Batavia; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Ed, Charles "Pete" and Jeff Annis all of Ottumwa, Michael Annis of Davenport, Hiram "Sonny" Annis of Lorimor, Raleigh "Butch" Annis Jr. of Arizona, Floyd "Butch" Annis of Fairfield; five sisters, Joyce Large, Marida Sickels, Bonnie Penrod and Delores Annis all of Ottumwa and Linda "Cis" Penniston of South Dakota.She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Mikyla Ehret.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral home with Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the family present 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.Memorials may be made to Hospice, 312 E. Alta Vista, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501 or Crisis Center and Women's Shelter, Ottumwa.
