Mrs. Anna Lanigan 77, of Davenport and formerly of Ottumwa died Monday at 10:20 p.m. at Mercy Hospital of Davenport.

She was the daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth Phillips and was born in Mineral City, Ohio September 23, 1886. She had spent most of her life at Ottumwa until moving to Davenport 13 years ago.

She was a member of St. Mary's catholic church in Ottumwa and St. Anthony's at Davenport.

Her marriage to James Aloysious Lanigan took place in Ottumwa. He died in 1952.

Survivors include two sons; James of Davenport and Timothy of Ottumwa; one sister Mrs. Clara Harlan of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was one son and one daughter. The services will be Thursday at the Vaughn funeral home at 8:30 a.m. and 9 o'clock at the St. Mary's Church with Msg. W.E. Cullinan celebrating a Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery at Ottumwa.
