OTTUMWA — Charlotte M. Cooper Stober, 74, of Clear Lake and formerly of Ottumwa, died at 5:35 a.m. Aug. 17, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa.She was born July 16, 1934 in Ottumwa to William and Margaret Twedell Cooper. She married David S. Stober July 16, 1977.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School and the Iowa Success School, she had worked at Ottumwa Hospital and at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City.Surviving is her husband, David; a son, Doug Cooper of Clear Lake; a grandson, Dane Cooper of Clear Lake; three stepsons, Russell Stober of Rolla, Mo., Scott Stober of Bella Vista, Ark. and Danny Stober of Fulton, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Dixie Norris of Bella Vista, Ark. and Victoria Lewis of Columbia, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Hall and Joyce Hazelwood, both of Ottumwa; three nieces and a nephew.She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Wyldes officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
