OTTUMWA — Richard Dale Yeoman, 55, of Waukee and formerly of Ottumwa, died at 4:32 a.m. Aug. 17, 2008, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born June 16, 1953 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Richard V. and Ruthann Brooks Yeoman.A graduate of Ottumwa High School, he was presently working as Engineering Service Coordinator for Farris Engineering in Des Moines. He had worked for ServiceMaster in the Urbandale and West Des Moines schools and at Hormel in Ottumwa.

Surviving is his daughter, Sarah Yeoman of Ottumwa; his fiancée, Susan Herr of Waukee, his father, Richard “Dick” Yeoman of Ottumwa; a sister, Pam (Buzz) Brooks of Farmington, Mo.; a brother, Melvyn (Cheryl) Yeoman of Eddyville; two nieces; and two nephews.He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruthann Rockett.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Sneller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
