Orville PennistonAged 38 of 920 Pershing Ave. was killed at 1:50 A.M. today under the wheels of a west bound freight train.
He is survived by his mother Mrs. Mary Ann Penniston of Ottumwa and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Ruby Shoonover of Keokuk, Mrs. Daisy Detemple of Washington D.C., Miss Ossie Penniston, Loren Penniston,Cecil Penniston, Forest Penniston, Leo Penniston, and Arthur all of Ottumwa.
Transcriber note: My great Uncle was Timothy Edward Lanigan and he owned two houses on Pershing. One being the rental at 920 and the family home was at 928 Pershing. In 1942 my grandpa James Lanigan was renting the home with my grandma Anna and my mom, dad living at 928. I was born in 1942 at the 928 address and 920 was just next door.
