BLOOMFIELD — Marie Lavon Mason, 82, of Bloomfield, Iowa, died March 3, 2008, at Davis County Hospital Long Term Care.

She was born Nov. 20, 1925 in Tracy, Iowa to Virgil and Gladys Furgison Hauenstein. She married Robert Mason April 5, 1946 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He preceded her in death Dec. 16, 2007.

She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.She is survived by two daughters, Gayle (Don) Walton of Bloomfield and Sue Anne (Randy) Dailey of Ottumwa, Iowa; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Verlan Hauenstein of Leighton, Iowa; three sisters, Mildred Holdsworth of Newton, Iowa, Doris Stansberry of Knoxville, Iowa and June Van Essen of Tracy.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Laverne Hauenstein.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2008, at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating.V

Visitation will begin Monday at 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will follow the service with interment at the Bellefountaine Cemetery in Tracy, Iowa at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund.
