HEDRICK — Doris L. Allman, 72, of 14278 295th St. Hedrick, died at 10:22 a.m. Sept. 20, 2007, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.She was born Sept. 20, 1935 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Harold R. and Ruby Snapp Williams. She married Harold Allman July 16, 1953.A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1953, she worked 25 years at North Hy-Vee in Customer Service. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She belonged to Bosom Buddies, enjoyed working at the State Fair, working in her yard and gardening.Surviving are her husband; three sons, Steven Allman of Van Horne, Mike (Deb) Allman of Eddyville and Dan (Andrea) Allman of Oskaloosa; two daughters, Cindy (Larry) VanGenderen of Eddyville and Kathy (Walter) Kamerick of Ottumwa; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen (Jerry) Baker of Ottumwa; a brother, Jerry (Janice) Williams of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; a half brother, Bob (Geri) Williams of Steilacoom, Wash.; a half sister, Bonnie (Ron) Holder of Newton; and a stepmother, Betty Williams of Bloomfield.She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters-in-law, Deborah Allman and Debi Allman.Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church in Ottumwa with Rev. Phil Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Abel Cemetery north of Hedrick.Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Sunday at the Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.Memorials have been established to McCreery Cancer Center or Hospice, 312 E. Alta Vista, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.
