George F. Collins 68 of 1012 South Sheridan died at his home at 11:30 a.m. today.
He was born May 18, 1887 in Davis County Iowa to James and Viola Snook Collins. He retired from John Morrell and Company in 1953. He married to Dulla Irene Hobbs Feb. 14, 1914.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons; Delbert and Ray Collins of Ottumwa; and five grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son Russell.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnson Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Roscoe Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery south of Ottumwa.
Pallbearers will be John McKinney, Robert Fitzgerald, Robert Leahy, Miner Bankson, Floyd DeHart, and Harry Sammons.
Mr. Collins died Wednesday at his home.
