A. T. Rockhill Dies At Age 83

Arthur T. Rockhill 83, of 546 Lillian Steet, died 12:10 a.m. today at Ottumwa Hospital.

He was born May 25, 1876 at Brazil, Ind. , and had lived at Ottumwa the past 55 years. He married Elta Weirback in Ottumwa in 1917, and he was a member of the methodist church.

Survivors include his wife Elta: two sons Roy Rockhill, Ottumwa, and Harold H. Rockhill, Houston, Texas; a step - daughter Mrs. Celia Kirkland, Waterloo, a step - son, Edward Weirback, Batavia; a sister, Mrs. Luella Smith, Bradley, Ill., and a brother Howard Rockhill; Brazil, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie, in 1913, and by an infant daughter, Sarah.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Cecil Latta of the Williard Street Methodish church. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at Centerville.
