Obituary of Margaret M. Canny Muchow from Newspaper:

Margaret M. Muchow died at 3:30 p.m. September 5,1996 at Ottumwa Manor. She was born March 11, 1907 to Anthony P. and Katherine Hannon Canny. She married John C. Muchow August 3,1930 in Chicago, Illinois; He died in 1991.

She was Deputy Wapello County Recorder for seven years and Wapello County Recorder for 18 years, retiring in 1975.She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by four daughters: Jeanne M. Callas, Marjorie "Sue" Huffman both of Ottumwa, Helen Barwick of Agency and Dorothy M. McNutt of Ozark.Ark; three sons, John C. "Jack" Muchow and Timothy J. Muchow, both of Ottumwa and Will Muchow of Fremont; 25 grandchildren;41 great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters and a brother,Joseph P. Canny of San Diego,California.

She was precede in death by a son Thomas J. Muchow,a sister Catharine Stroud, and eight brothers,Michael E., James M.,Anthony P., Patrick F,Edward P.,Daniel J.,Charles M.Canny and infant brother and a grandson.

The service will begin 10 A.M. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church,the Rev James Grubb officiating.Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 9 A.M. at Th Reece funeral Home.

Christian wake service will be 7 P.M., followed by family visitation until 8;30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
