BATAVIA--Marjorie Elene GILTNER, 85, of 7495 30th Ave, Batavia, died at 12:55 am, August 20, 2002 at Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield.
She was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Ottumwa to Hervey Roy and Effie LONG SMITH. She married Max GILTNER in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She was a member of Bladensburg Christian Church, Batavia, TTT, Senior Citizens of Batavia, AARP and Life Goes On in Ottumwa.
Surviving are two sons; Bert of Ottumwa, and Bard of Batavia and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Marilyn MORRISON and two sisters Clara CARRUTHERS,
and a brother, Charles SMITH.Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm, Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with the Rev. David ALBERT officiating. Burial will be in Batavia, Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 1pm, today in the funeral home with the family present from 6:30-8:30pm.
Pallbearers will be Clark YEAGER, Glenn HUPP, Glen KESSELRING, Dave FENTON, Ivan PETERS and Kenny BLACK.
A memorial has been established to the Bladensburg Christian Church.
