Merle Frank Pearson was born at Eldon, Iowa,April 12, 1911. He received his elementary education in Culver and Illinois Military Academies. For two years he attended Washington and LEe University at Lexington, Virginia, where he was affiliated with the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Leter he decided to specialize in animal husbandry and was attending the Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa, when he was taken ill. He passed away Sunday, July 21, 1935, at 2:40 A.M., at the age of 24 years, 3 months and 9 days.
