James E. Krayenhagen, 66, Ottumwa

OTTUMWA -- James E. Krayenhagen, 66, of Manteca, CA passed away June 13, 2006, after suffering a massive heart attack.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006, at the Manteca Moose Lodge, 1185 N. Main St., Manteca, CA.

James was born Feb. 13, 1940 in Ottumwa, IA to his parents Roland F. and Betty L. (McReynolds) Krayenhagen who precede him in death.

He was an independent truck driver working many years for Del Monte Foods, where he was known and respected for his dedication and hard work.

His widow, Carolyn, who he married on Valentine's Day 1987 in Reno, NV, survives him. He was always romantic at heart.

Also surviving are two sons, Kevin J. Swafford of McHenry, IL and James Earl Krayenhagen of Dodge City, KS. Also surviving is one sister, Deloris DeKraai of Ottumwa, IA and one brother, Richard Krayenhagen of Sacramento, CA; ten half brothers, Jerry (Krayenhagen) Taylor, deceased, Stanley Krayenhagen of Arroyo Grande, CA, Norman Wemer Jr. of San Lorenzo, CA, Don Wemer of Captain Cook, HI, David Wemer of Ottumwa, IA, Dale Wemer of Pleasanton, CA, Douglas Wemer of Norfolk, VA, Dennis Wemer of Hayward, CA, Duane Wemer of Ogden, IL and Terry Wemer of Joplin, MO.; five half sisters, Jean Krayenhagen of Folsom, CA, Judy Krayenhagen of Modesto, CA, Patricia Gray of Knoxville, IL, Ronda Perez of San Lorenzo, CA and Carol Carnes of Papillion, NE; and numerous grandchildren. Six stepchildren who were also dear to his heart survive him, Antoinette Strock of Manteca, CA, Michael Olinghouse of Patterson, CA, Lori Strait, Jeff Olinghouse of Oakland, Ca, Sandra Downer of Tracy, CA and Jerry Wolfe of Stockton, CA; and numerous step grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flower, donations may be sent to the Manteca Moose Lodge, 1185 N. Main St., Manteca, CA 95336.

The Krayenhagen family wishes to express their gratitude for all the caring and support given through this time, especially being thankful to all the friends who made his celebration of life the event it turned out to be.
