Charles E. PEARSON, 78, retired farmer, died Thurs. in Ottumwa. Fell Cemetery.
Born on a farm 3½ miles s.w. of Libertyville Aug. 9, 1876, and spent entire life as a farmer in that area. Son of Silas M. and Parlee CARTER PEARSON. Married Pearl McCLAIN Oct. 14, 1904. Observed golden wedding last fall.
Surviving are wife and children: Glenn and Rodney, Libertyville; Mrs. Grace FRAZIER, Corydon; Mrs. Nellie DAVISSON, Libertyville; Buelah PEARSON, Knoxville; Mrs. Gladys BACHMANN, Milton; Mrs. Florence HORN, Pulaski, and Mrs. Kathryn PARKS, Fairfield; one brother, Rayburn PEARSON, Batavia; 18 grandchildren and 2 grgrchn. Preceded in death by one infant son. Member Mt. Zion Methodist Ch.
