Hello, John W. Morrison (1843-1912) was on the 1880 and 1885 census for Ottumwa Iowa. He worked for a railroad and that is probably the reason he moved to DesMoines and was on the 1900 and 1910 census for that city. He is buried in the Ottumwa Cemetery. All indications point to him being the son of my gg grandmother Eunice Ellen Francisco Morrison Lathrop by her first husband Ephraim Morrison of Chicago. Upon marriage to my gg grandfather, Philip Lathrop, the couple migrated to the Clio, Iowa area which was probably the reason John W. also migrated to Iowa.

Any more information on John W Morrison, especially an obituary, would be very much appreciated.
