OPEN HOUSE FOR BISHOPS

Mr. and Mrs. Charlie BISHOP will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, with open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at their residence, 304 W. Williams St.

Their entire lives were spent in Jefferson, Van Buren and Wapello counties, with the last 22 years in Ottumwa. They were married at the Lutheran parsonage in Fairfield, Nov. 22, 1915, by the late Rev. W. W. BARKLEY.

Mr. BISHOP retired from John Morrell and Co. in 1947.

Their children include one daughter, Anna MCWILLIAMS of Ottumwa and four sons, Louis of Agency, Dorsey and Harold of Des Moines and William of West Liberty. There are 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
